The 1st A-TEC Advanced Technology & Engineering Challenge is hosted by Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, organized by Research Institute of Tsinghua University in Shenzhen and Leaguer Group. We hope to build an open platform to discover advanced technologies, stimulate the potential of science innovation, guide the direction of science innovation, integrate high- quality global science innovation resources, promote transfer and transformation of cutting-edge scientific achievements, and expand the channels for science exchanges and cooperation in China and abroad. The competition is classified into Innovation Contest and championship, which is the pioneer in China. The competition will discover cutting-edge technologies worldwide, guide the transfer and transformation of scientific achievements, and cultivate advanced technical enterprises and strategic emerging industries. In addition to rich rewards, the competition will continue to provide value-added services such as application development, investment incubation, talent training, innovation incentive, and industry connection for winners after the contests.
The first A-TEC championship with the proposition of “Post-disaster Area Detection and Treatment” will be held in the form of real-object competition. It emphasizes integration of different science and technology fields and seeks for excellent solutions and products in specific application scenarios.
The organizer invites experts to design competition subjects. The championship consists of three rounds, and product development will be performed between each round. Through adjustment of competition system of different rounds, it guides candidate teams to perform technical development, and selects excellent practical equipment and solutions that may be quickly applied in a wide range.
The Innovation Contest is carried out in the forms of roadshow and Q&A, it aims to explore disruptive innovation ad breakthroughs. The Innovation Contest will collect excellent projects from all over the world, covering five divisions in China (North China, Yangtze River Delta, GBA, Southwest China, Northwest China) and two overseas divisions (Europe and Asia). It covers three industries: AI, cyberspace, and biotechnology.
